Eligibility and complete information
Applicants must be at least 18 and legally able to submit the application. Required fields must be completed accurately. An applicant must identify their own role in portfolio projects and have permission to share linked material, references and personal information.
Gallery Dod may ask for clarification, references, evidence of work eligibility or safety documentation later. Identity documents should not be included in the initial form.
Private profile, not public exposure
Applications enter a private Gallery Dod library. Gallery Dod will not publish an applicant’s personal contact details as a browsable directory or make them available to prospective clients simply to contact the artist directly.
A named public profile, project credit, testimonial or use of an artist’s portrait requires separate approval where consent or permission is required. The current application gives Gallery Dod permission to review the supplied portfolio; it does not transfer ownership of the artwork.
Categorisation and human decisions
The system may categorise applications by discipline, experience, location, availability, access readiness and preferred pathway. This helps Gallery Dod search and organise the library.
Automatic categorisation does not award Master Artist status, accept a person onto a project, decide compensation or make a legally significant decision. Gallery Dod reviews relevant profiles personally and may correct a route after review.
No guarantee of work or accreditation
Submission, categorisation, acknowledgement or inclusion in the library does not guarantee assessment, training, accreditation, employment, freelance work, a minimum volume of opportunities or any response within a particular period.
Gallery Dod may accept, decline, defer or request further evidence according to project needs, capability, conduct, safety, availability and client requirements, subject to applicable law and without unlawful discrimination.
Training and paid project roles
The training pathway is intended to build real site capability through defined, supervised responsibility. Productive work performed on a Gallery Dod project will be governed by a separate written engagement stating the role, rate or fee, working time, expenses, insurance and relevant obligations.
Training status does not remove an artist’s right to agreed compensation for productive project work. Observation, induction or educational activity that is not productive project work will be clearly identified in advance and handled according to applicable law.
Safety and site readiness
No applicant may undertake high-access, machinery, hazardous-material or specialist work without the qualifications, supervision, equipment and site permissions required for that role. Applicants must disclose limitations honestly and follow all inductions, method statements and lawful site instructions.
Gallery Dod may remove a person from a site or opportunity where safety, conduct, competence or client protection reasonably requires it.
Master Artist accreditation
Master Artist accreditation is evidence-based and awarded only after the relevant portfolio, technical judgement, professional conduct and practical delivery have been assessed. Gallery Dod may limit accreditation to particular capabilities and may require renewal or continued evidence.
The designation remains a Gallery Dod programme mark. Its permitted public use, duration, renewal, suspension and withdrawal will be set out in a separate accreditation agreement before the designation is awarded.
Project introductions and relationships
When Gallery Dod introduces an artist to a client or opportunity, commercial terms, confidentiality, representation, non-circumvention, exclusivity and commission arrangements, if any, will be stated in a separate written project agreement. This application alone does not impose those commercial restrictions.
Applicants must not represent that they speak for Gallery Dod, are accredited, have been selected or have authority to bind Gallery Dod unless confirmed in writing.
Portfolio rights and confidentiality
Applicants retain ownership of their portfolio material. They grant Gallery Dod a limited, non-exclusive permission to access, internally reproduce where technically necessary and review submitted material for application, matching, assessment and recordkeeping.
Confidential project briefs, client information, site documents and non-public opportunities received later must not be disclosed or used outside the authorised purpose. Separate project agreements may contain more detailed intellectual-property and confidentiality terms.
Privacy, updates and removal
Personal information is handled under the Gallery Dod Privacy Notice. Applicants may request access, correction or deletion where applicable. Gallery Dod may retain limited evidence of decisions, engagements, safety matters or legal claims where lawfully necessary.
Applicants should keep availability, residency category, work eligibility, contact details and portfolio links accurate. A request to leave the opportunity list will stop future opportunity communications but may not require deletion of records that Gallery Dod must lawfully retain.
International application and law
Applicants are responsible for ensuring they may lawfully work in each proposed location. Selection is always subject to permits, visas, client conditions and local employment or freelance rules.
These application terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws applicable to Gallery Dod FZE in its place of establishment, without removing mandatory rights under the applicant’s local law. Any actual project engagement will have its own governing-law and dispute terms.
